About Stackly

A brokerage built to give advice, not volume

Founded in Miami Beach in 2009 by two advisors who had grown tired of transactions being handed between departments. Seventeen years later the rule has not changed: one advisor owns the relationship from the first conversation to the last signature.

Our story

Twelve markets, entered one at a time

The first office was three people above a dry cleaner on Collins Avenue. We opened the second in Scottsdale four years later, and only because a client asked us to represent them there and we would not hand the file to a stranger.

That has been the pattern ever since. Every market we cover was opened for a client who had already trusted us somewhere else, staffed by an advisor who lives in it. We have turned down more expansions than we have made.

Vision and mission

Where we are going, and how we get there

Our vision

A market where the advice is worth more than the listing.

We want Stackly to be the firm people call before they decide, not after. That means staying small enough to know every home we represent, and senior enough to say plainly when a purchase is the wrong one.

Our mission

One accountable advisor, and the evidence behind every number.

We take on roughly forty engagements a year across twelve markets. Each one gets a named principal, a written pricing opinion with the comparable sales attached, and representation that continues after the close.

Philosophy

Three commitments we can be held to

We will tell you not to buy it

Roughly one in five briefs we take ends with us advising against every house on the short list. The commission is not worth the relationship.

Numbers before opinions

Pricing advice arrives in writing with the comparable sales attached, so you can argue with the evidence rather than with us.

The file does not change hands

No coordinators, no handoffs at contract. The advisor who took your brief attends the inspection and reads the closing statement.

The advisors

Nine people, four principals

Navy Suit Man

Elliot Marsh

Founding principal · Miami Beach

Waterfront and dock-lot specialist. Seventeen years in South Florida, most of it within two miles of the office.

Black Suit Man

Adrian Vaso

Principal · New York & Boston

Co-op and condominium boards, landmark townhouses, and the paperwork nobody else wants to read.

Blue Suit Man

Peter Halloway

Principal · Los Angeles & Denver

Hillside construction, geology reports and architectural resale. Trained as a structural engineer.

Side Profile Man

Nathan Roe

Principal · Austin, Dallas & Nashville

New construction and land. Writes the quarterly letters for all three of his markets himself.

Credibility

Small on purpose, accountable by design

We are licensed in every state we operate in, carry errors and omissions coverage above the required minimum, and publish the same market letters to clients and to regulators.

Tell us the market and the timeline. We will match you with one of the four principals and you will speak to them, not to an assistant.
